Basic Uniform Standard
In order to maintain the highest level of authenticity possible, our unit policy requires you to own certain types of clothing and equipment. The 2nd Rangers are best known for their actions on D-Day. Therefore our primary impression is the early war uniform.
New recruits should only buy early war equipment.

Service Trousers - Two pair of trousers of the following type:
Two pair of Trousers, Wool M1937 or One pair of wool and one pair of Cotton HBT WWII pattern.
Service Shirt - Two shirts of the following type:
Two Wool, Coat Style, M1934 or one wool and one HBT Jacket of WWII pattern.
Rank and insignia (when earned) must be attached to one wool shirt.
Field Jacket - Jacket of the following type:
One M1941 Field Jacket is required for our main impression. A WWII Winter Combat Jacket ("Tanker's Jacket") is also acceptable.
The M1943 four pocket field jacket may not be used for the main impression but may be used as a secondary impression.
Boots - One pair of serviceable boots of any of the following types:
Type III Service Shoes with M1938 Leggings or M1943 "Two-Buckle" combat boots or Corcoran style Paratrouper Boots. Two buckle boots are late war and should not be used as a Ranger primary impression. Laces should be leather or brown flat cotton. Lug soles are permissible as Rangers sometimes added them to their boots (and they keep you from falling on your face!)
Head Gear - A WWII style M1 Helmet and Liner are required.
Helmets needn't have a US pattern net, however it is optional.
A good quality M1941 knit "jeep" cap is also required. And though not required, an HBT Cap is an option for your uniform.
NOTE: The use of original, mint-condition clothing in a battle scenario is STRONGLY DISCOURAGED.

In order to maintain the highest level of authenticity possible, our unit policy requires you to own certain types of clothing and equipment. Though not required, ideally, every Ranger should have a Class A impression for when a dress uniform is preferred or required.
