Required equipment for new Ranger members:

1. HBT Jacket and Trousers (or wools) $ 120
2. Boots: Rough Out Boondockers or Paratrouper $ 125
3. Leggings $ 15
4. M41 Field Jacket - not M43 $ 90
5. HBT Hat, Knit Jeep Cap or Overseas Cap $ 10
6. Cartridge Belt - 10 Pocket $ 40
7. Haversack $ 30
8. Canteen Set with Cup and Cover $ 50
9. First Aid Pouch (First aid tin not required.) $ 10
10. Helmet with Liner and Small Mesh Helmet Net $ 30
11. M1 Garand (preferred), 1903 Springfield, or .30 carbine with Sling $ 700
    $ 1,220

 

Required additional equipment at six months of membership:

1. Overseas Cap, HBT Hat, and Jeep Knit Cap $ 20
2. Mess Kit and Utensils $ 15
3. M3 Fighting Knife in M8 Scabbard - not M8A1 $ 60
4. Sweater $ 15
5. Gloves $ 5
    $ 115

 

Required additional equipment at one year of membership:

1. Entrenching Tool with Cover $ 40
2. Wool Shirt and Trousers (or HBT - $50 if originals will fit you) $ 150
3. Shelter Half Tent with Poles and Wood Pegs $ 30
4. Dog Tags $ 20
    $ 240

 

Additional Recommended Equipment:

1. Extra Ammo Bag
2. Class A - Four Pocket or Ike Jacket
3. D-day Equipment - Assault Gas Mask Bag, Gas Brassard, Life Belt
4. Mackinaw, Wool Overcoat, Scarf and Other Warm Clothes
5. An Alternate Impression like Late War*, MP, Medic, Chaplin, Navy, Air Borne
6. A Foot Locker with Correct Contents
7. Alternate Weapons: Thompson, Grease Gun, or 1919A4 Beltfed Machine Gun
8. A Jeep, Tank or B17 is not required but is a nice acquisition.

* Late War would be M43 Jacket, 2 Buckle Boots and Green Web Gear
